November 2016 Meeting
When it comes to the hobby of aquarium fish keeping it is many of us keep fish and know little about the history or where the fish come from. Our very own Kapil Mandrekar traveled to South America in search of expanding his knowledge in arapaima fish that he has spent years researching. Kapil Mandrekar is also an avid Discus enthusiast.
While he was in South America he also had the chance to see Wild Discus up close and personal in their natural habitat. Next meeting he will be talking about how he got to swim up close and personal with Wild Discus. Join us as he shares with us his experience with the King of the Aquarium!
The end of summer is upon us, fall is coming, busy schedules are starting to become free. The great news is there is something fun and entertaining to participate in! Come join The Central New York Aquarium Society and participate in your beloved hobby once again!
Come check us out and see what we are all about! Meeting is scheduled on 09/21/2016 at our usual spot! Local fish expet Kapil will be there giving a talk on Keeping Saltwater Aquariums. He will go over the basics and give you a great idea and foundation to start keeping one. We will also have going on during the meeting!
-Mini Auction & More!
You don’t need to be a member to check us out, but our membership is very cheap and is well worth the perks of joining!
Address: 148 Sanders Creek Parkway, East Syracuse NY
Just a reminder CNYAS goes out for the summer and will return in the Fall! This gives everyone a break from the meetings and a chance to enjoy the outdoor, family, ponds or whatever your passion (other than tanks) maybe. Thanks to everyone for an amazing year! We will still be posting and creating content throughout the summer!
